I am a retired, professional, photographer now living in the Algarve, Portugal with my
wife Chris. I was born in the UK and, prior to moving to Portugal, my wife and I ran
a photographic studio for a number of years close to London. As a professional
photographer, I was awarded Associateship to both the Master Photographers
Association and the British Institute of Professional Photographers. I have also
worked as a critique judge.
Portugal is a beautiful country and with it’s stunning landscape and friendly people, it
has given me numerous opportunities to take some wonderful images. I have also
spent some time teaching the basics of photography to a number of people both young
and older and, over the past year or so, I have been mentoring Luis Carmo from
Tavira who is a brilliant young photographer and just beginning his final year at UCL
where he is studying Fashion Photography.
Over the years my photography has taken me to many places and I have been
fortunate to photograph endangered wildlife in Africa, Borneo, Nepal and Spain
together with indigenous people of the areas.
