Quinta Dos Vales April 2018
The APG members and their guests were at the winery bright and early on this lovely sunny Thursday morning. During the first hour the 24 participants were taken through the cellars and had the process of making the different wines explained to them by their guide Duarte. This was then followed by the tasting of three of the Quinta dos Vales wines, one red, one white, and one rose. Duarte explained how to appreciate the wines using the eyes, nose and mouth, asking us all to say to him what flavours we thought we were recognizing. At the end of the tasting we were able to wander in the grounds of the winery and take pictures at our leisure, as well as to purchase some wines at the shop if we wished.
